She Is But A Flower.

Dear God, thank You for greeting her with the sun on every 26th day of the first month of every year for twenty years.  She wouldn’t know what light was if it wasn’t for Your Son.

She Is But A Flower

A letter for her,
January 26th,

She is a but a flower
Young but wise
Afraid but determined
Lost but found
She is everything she dreams of and more
But she still doesn’t realise she is her
So, please if you can remind her every year
For a flower cannot blossom without sunshine

She loves to talk a lot
The rose that grew from concrete because it reminds her of her growth
But she doesn’t like to talk about her thorns
They cause her to prickle her surroundings
Because she’s afraid to get hurt, again
Her thorns do more damage than good to her roots
She is soft, gentle and fragile, but her thorns are a great danger
And sometimes, they hurt her more than they protect her
And her scars are always there to remind her
Of the height of which she fell from
From her roots, she absorbs everything
She feels like she’s withering away at times
But life taught her a lot of lessons
Like how the wind will always blow wherever it pleases

She remembers being surrounded by other flowers that nourished her
And she remembers when she was almost crushed to death
But the sun gave her light and sight
And that’s why she stands tall as the sun rises
And her anger fades before the sun goes down

As she blossoms and effortlessly grows in seasons,
I want her to be proud of her growth
I want you to tell me more about her roots
And tell me about how far she has came up

The seed of this beautiful world is yours to share with everyone
Beautiful the evolution of your bud
For you and your ambition both, bloom
May the sun kiss you unconditional
Bloom, flourish, grow and glow
For Me

She Is But A flower
